Stallion approval

"This year we have a small, but very interesting collection of jumping stallions at the approval. Concerning the blood lines we have a broad representation of international top blood lines. We are very happy with the top, who can easily stand up to the stallions we have seen at the approvals all over Europe" Johny Hansen, the leader of the jumping discipline under Dansk Varmblod said after the approval.

The judgement of the jumping loose on Friday is not the only parameter for the approval. The judges also take the observations during the selection, the trainings session in February at Vilhelmsborg and the training on Wednesday into consideration. 

New stallion ?

It is no secret, that we have been looking for a new stallion all over Europe during the last year to complement our collection of sires. Of course we had certain demands for a new stallion, so that it could stand up to the extraordinary stallions, that we already have. So we needed a stallion with an interesting performance pedigree, rideability and last but not least healthiness, to be sure that a purchase would be attractive for Stutteri Ask and of course for our breeders.

We did not find any stallion, as we are proud to say, that we did not find anyone better than our two 3-year-old stallions Cyrano Ask (by Ci Ci Senjor Ask) and Frontier Ask (by Favorit Ask), who have both been born and raised at Stutteri Ask. Both stallions showed their extraordinary talent in Herning, and the approval committe awarded this mit very good scores.
Frontier Ask became 4 x 10 for technique, capacity, gallop and top line, as well as a 9,5 for total impression.
Cyrano Ask became a 9,5 for capacity, 9 for technique, 9 for top line/hind quarter and 9 for total impression.

Both stallions have now started their 10-days-test.

4-years-old stallions

This year we did not present any 4-years-old or older stallions ourselves. But last year we sold Frodo Ask and Aagaardens Chico Ask, who are both by Favorit Ask. Both of them did a very good stallion test with more than 800 points and are now final approved. Frodo Ask, who had won the stallion-test, got a 8 for total impression as well as the breeders medal in bronce. Aagaardens Chico Ask got the endnote 9 for total iompression and the breeders medal in silver. We congratulate the new owners and riders to results1 

Presentation jumping 

During this years approval our competent rider, Karen Rohde presented the sire Cornettino Ask to the breeders. Cornettino Ask delivered very good rounds all days - as usual - and especially his positive attitude was praised by the judges. He is very rideable and really wants do to his best in the course, which makes it much easier for the rider.

After the presentation class on Sunday, the leader of the jumping discipline under Dansk Varmblod, Johny Hansen said to the spectators "Dear breeders, it is not necessary for you to go abroad to search for sires with extraordinary and modern blood lines. The Danish stallion owners have been buying the best bloodlines for the last years, so now you can get the best sires here." Of course this statement was followed by applaus by the ordiance.

Unghestechampionat 

"This one is really a jumper", was the enthusiastic comment from Lars Bak Andersen, as he made a small break after jumping the first obstacles with Fendi Ask. He underlined the sharpness, which Fendi Ask performed, and this gave him the notes 8,5 for rideability and 10 for capacity, and Lars added: "This horse might help DV to a top placing in Zangersheide".

Favorit Ask was the sire with most offsprings qualified for the Unghestechampionat. 7 offspring started, and 5 of them were in the top 10. Ci Ci Senjor Ask had one offspring in the top 10.

All offspring from our sires got a note between 8,5 and 10 for  jumping capacity - either from the judges or from the test rider.

Galla show

Horses, ducks, dogs and a single hippopotamus - the galla show of Dansk Varmblod called "Pulse of the city" was loved by the ordiance, who delivered a fantastic atmosphere on Friday and Saturday night

On Friday night Favorit Ask and Søren came in third in the Galla jumping. The speaker Casper Cassøe stated that Søren was much to slow. However he definitely wanted refute this, as he won the speed class during the Gallashow on Saturday night with the sire Favorit Ask.

International jumping

Stutteri Ask also had horses starting in the CSI1*/3* Herning.

The best result here was delivered by Rolf-Göran and Unita Ask, as they won the Grand Prix CSI3* FEI Longines World Ranking class (150 cm).

Søren and Ci Ci Senjor Ask were placed in the Big Tour CSI3* World Ranking class, and Hiphop Ask by Ci Ci Senjor Ask, was placed 4th and 7th in the Youngster Tour.

Lambrusco Ask had two offspring in the competition. Lonni Ask and Karen Rohde were placed in the CSI1* 130 cm, and Libaks Lamentos, ridden by Jonathan Hvalsøe Saul was placed in the Medium Round CSI3* 140 cm.

Gandalf Ask, who is by Gipsy D'Ask, under Eva Kramer ws placed in the CSI1* 135 cm.
