Succesful Danish Warmblood Elite Show 06-09-2015 - 09:25

The breeding of jumping horses are not big in Danish Warmblood, but it is the quality in return.

Favorit Ask has again this year marked its breeding force with many offspring at the Elite Show at Vilhelmsborg. Some of the highlights were two silvermedal mares, and the jumping colt Caiton Ravnes-Haven, who has Favorit Ask as grandfather, he was given the title as the best colt and later sold at the elite auction.

The event which took place on 28-30 August has produced a turnover of 5 million DKK and has had 6,500 visitors during the course of the three competition days. A total of 450 horses have participated and 320 of these were stabled at Vilhelmsborg.

Danish Champion Mare of the Year

We are very proud to own and having presented the 3 year old jumping mare of the year in 2015, catalogue no. 1  Athena Ask by Carmague / Crelido. She is a very femin mare and jumps in a class by herself.

Athena Ask achived as the only juming mare goldmedal and she also had the highest performancetest of the year among both jumping and dressage mares, with 955 points out of 1000 posible with character as 10 for technique and kapacite, 9.5 for canter both by testrider and judge as well as 8 and 8.5 for rideability respectively by the judge and test rider.

This also gave her the title as the "happiest horse" which is given to the mare with the best performance test.

Last year, this title also was won by a mare from the Stutteri Ask, it was Fendi Ask e. Favorite Ask / Cartago

Athena Ask is a horse we have purchased for stud last year from breeders Karen Lund and Kenneth Knudsen, Hvalsø.

2-year-old fillies

In the finals for the 2-year-old fillies were 3 beautiful mares, among them catalogue no. 100 Beezie Ask by Cavall Ask / Clarimo Ask owned and bred by Stutteri Ask. She jumped very well balanced and has a lovely femin expressions.

Beautiful foals

The mares and foals competing for the national champion titles at the Elite Show at Vilhelsmborgs have all been selected at regional gradings and shows. As there has been a general decrease in the number of covered mares since 2009, the mares and foals at the Elite Show this year represent the small crop of foals.

Jumping Colt Foal of the Year

One of the highlights was the jumping colt catalogue no.  213 Caiton Ravnes-Haven, by Cantolar and has Favorit Ask as grandfather. Bred by Kirsten & Kjeld Christensen, Borup. He received the title as the best colt and subsequently sold at the elite auction "An appealing foal with eminent canter movement", were some of the superlatives from the judges.

In the finals for the jumping colt was 4 foals. Among them our own colt catalogue no. 210 Aristo Ask by Arezzo VDL / Pythagoras. A foal with great canter and stallions expression and certainly also foal we have high expectations for in the future.
