Nations Cup at Stutteri Ask the 15th and 19th May 202411-04-2024 - 09:54

Stutteri Ask is set to host a Nations Cup event for the first time ever. The program for the event, that will take place between the 15th and 19th May, has now been published and 11 nations have already lined up to compete against the Danish team.

From May 15th to May 19th, 2024, a Nations Cup event, part of the Longines EEF Series, will take place at Stutteri Ask for the first time ever. The series provides nations outside of the European first division with an opportunity to compete in Nations Cups and gain experience at high level.
For us at Stutteri Ask this marks our first time hosting an international event, which we look very much forward to, and we will strive to make it a recurring event.
As the newly published program for the event indicates, the Nations Cup competition will take place on Friday, May 17th, while the 3* Grand Prix follows on Sunday 19th. However, from Wednesday through Sunday spectators can except thrilling showjumping at the highest level.

These nations have confirmed their participation

Twelve nations will be contesting for the top spot in what promises to be an intense Nations Cup class.
Being a North Regional Qualifier the nations battling it out for qualification points in this event will be Israel, Estonia, Norway, Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, and Denmark. The Danish Chef d’Equipe Bo K. Moeller will select the riders representing the host nation. The teams not gaining points but competing at the event include Japan, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Germany. All teams will undoubtedly aim to secure victory.

The road to the final

The event at Stutteri Ask marks the first opportunity for the Danish team to collect points toward reaching the final of the Longines EEF Series. A strong performance would significantly enhance their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals. The second regional qualifier takes places in Drammen in June.
The five best nations from each of the four regional qualifiers will advance to the semi-finals with two semi-finals scheduled, comprising the north and west in the first and south and central in the second. The five highest-ranked nations from each semi-final will qualify for the Longines EEF Series Final in Warsaw in September.

It is still possibly to register for the 1* classes, which include both a small and large tour.
