This years championship final for young horses was held on Saturday night at Blue Hors, who once again delivered a fantastic base for the event. Our riders Karen and Søren Møller Rohde have been in top form with the young horses and been almost invincible. Our 4 stallions Action Man Ask Z, Cassado Ask, Favorit Ask and Todt Un Prince Ask have yesterday and today been presented for the three German breeding associations: Holsteiner Verband (HOL), Westfälisches Pferdestambuch (Westf) and Hannoveraner Verband (HANN), where they all now have obtained breeding approval, which means it is now also possible to have their offspring registered in these federations, if the mare is selected in the federation.... Endnu en gang formåede Danish Derby at få julestemningen frem ved deres traditionsrige Christmas Show på Vilhelmsborg.  Søren og Karen har været til start med flere af stutteriets heste, der alle har gået gode runder. Bl.a. var Todt Un Prince Ask med og viste at han er tæt på at være tilbage i topform, da han fredag aften leverede en fejlfri hovedrunde i 145 cm og kvalificerede sig til omspringen, som Søren dog valgte at trække sig fra, da målet ikke var at vinde klassen, men derimod gøre ham klar til større opgaver i 2022, hvilket det bestemt ser ud til at han er.... Stutteri Ask (The Ask stud) consists of an EU breeding station, our own stud and the show stable, where the focus is on breeding and education of jumping horses. The sires of the stud and their offspring have been dominating the Danish Championships for Young Horses during the last years, and they also made a very positive impression on the international jumping circuit.... At the stallion approval in Herning all our stallions fulfilled our expectations. We brought two 3-years-old, Quinto Ask by Quarz Ask/Ci Ci Senjor Ask and Casper Ask by Ci Ci Senjor Ask/Kannan. Both stallions were approved and admitted to the stallions test, and besides Casper Ask was selcted for the premium ring, for which the judges selected only 3 jumping stallions. Here he was awarded with praised and rewarded with the note 9,5 for capacity!  In the ring of the 4-years-old stallions we also presented two stallions. Champion stallion of the 4-years-old was Jewel Ask Z, who has been bought to the Stud last autumn. He has a very interesting pedigree - Jaguar Van Paemel/Diamant De Semilly/Heartbreaker, and already last season he was very popular among the breeders. Cornet Senjor Ask, who is bred at the Ask Stud by our own stallions Cornettino Ask/Ci Ci Senjor Ask, the dam is Hiphop Ask. Cornet Senjor Ask was awarded with the trophy of Elvin Rasmussen as Best Danish bred stallion. ... Note 10 for rideability - that is as good as it gets! Maria showed the horses in great shape as usual and together with the gelding Fabulant Ask by Favorit Ask they were rewarded with the note 10 for rideability and 8 for capacity from test rider Andreas Schou. With this result they ended as runner-up in the final of the Championatship for young horses. Andreas also liked Holly Ask by Favorit Ask, and he gave the notes 9,5 for rideability and 8,5 for capacity, and they were placed 4th in the total ranking. The most handsome stallion has taken his last breath at the age of 29. He will be forever in our hearts as he has been so important for the Stud, as well for the breeding division as for the sports! Through the last 15 years he has been retired from the sport and enjoyed his senior life here on the Stud, where he has been handwalked every day by his faithful groom Betina Rosenlund and eating gras on the big fields. But yesterday he most likely had a stroke, so we had to take the difficult decision and put an end to his senior life.
