3 new Elite Sires at Stutteri Ask11-10-2016 - 10:24

We are proud to inform you, that the three sires Carson Ask, Ci Ci Senjor Ask and Favorit Ask have been approved as Elite Sires in the Danish Warmblood.
It is hardly a surprise, that the three sires are passing on their fantastich jumping skills to their offspring, and that is exactly the reason why they have been rated as Elite Sires after application this year.
Becoming an Elite Sire makes these three sires collegeaues to two of the old boys in the stable: Casir Ask and Lambrusco Ask, who have been appointes as Elite Sires in 2004 and 2009 respectively. Casir Ask also earned the title "Sire of the Year" at the Danish Warmblood approval in 2008.

What does it take to become an Elite Sire ?

The Breeding Commission can appoint sires of any age as Elite Sires. The sire must fulfil 4 of the following basic demands. If the sire can not fulfil demand no. 2, it has to fulfil demand no. 6.

1. The sire has done good results in competitions, and in Denmark it shall be at least of B-status
2. At least 30 offspring must have been presented and judged. Minimum 50% of the judged offspring must have been apporved to DH or have been selected for the stallion approval
3. The sire has several offspring, who have achieved good sport results or test results
4. The sire has a breeding indes above average in dressage and/or jumping
5. The siore has at least 5 offspring, who have qualified for the final of the DRF championship
6. The sire has several offspring with A-status (Denmark)

The list of Elite Sires was established by the Danish Warmblood in 1995 and until 2016 it includes 75 sires.

Ci Ci Senjor Ask

He is a S-horse in jumping with several victories and placings up to 155 cm. He competed at the Sires of the World 2016. He was champion Sire as a 4-years-old in 2010 and was taken into the the jumping horse program. He is the father of "2-years-old jumping mare of the year" in 2012 and 2016.

In total 16 daughters have been approved, of this 12 (75,00 %) in DH, hence 4 with a medal (25,00 %) - 2 silver medals and 2 bronce medals. Apart from this Ci Ci Senjor Ask is the father of 3 approved sons: Canada Sem Ask, Cor De Ask and the premium stallion Cyrano Ask DVH 1230, who is now ready for his stallion test.

The mare Hiphop Ask by Ci Ci Senjor Ask has been approved into SRDH, she was placed 5th in the final of the World CHampionship for young jumpers in Zangersheide 2015 and also competed 2016, where she went clear at the jumps. HipHop Ask was also competing in the final of Falsterbo 2015

Ci Ci Senjor Ask got an index (young horses) in 2015 of 138 (15 offspring)

Several offspring made a positive impression in the Unghestechampionat and DRF's championship finals. This year 6 offspring qualified in the finals being held at the JBK Horse Shows in Odense.

Ci Ci Senjor Ask has one son with A-status in jumping: Hiphop Ask SRDH and two offspring, who have B-status in jumping: Fiona Ask and Puge Mølles Sif.

So Ci Ci Senjor Ask DVH 1010 fulfils the demands 1, 4 and 5. The breeding commission granted an exemption for demand number 2, where normally 30 offspring shall be judged, because of the extraordinary quality of the presented offspring. So Ci Ci Senjor Ask DVE 1010 is now an Elite Sire of the Danish Warmblood.
