A FANTASTIC ELITE MARES SHOW30-08-2016 - 08:14

Yeah! We could hardly get back to normal business after this years Elite Mares Show of the Danish Warmblood Association!

The 2-year-old jumping mare of the Year was our pretty and well jumping Valentina Ask by Ci Ci Senjor Ask.

The 3-year old jumping mare of the Year - with a gold medal - was the extraordinary well-jumping mare Charetta Ask by Favorit Ask, who also did the best test out of the jumping mares. But the "golden rain" did not stop here, as another of our own mares was in the final of the 3-year-olds: Beezie Ask by Cavall Ask. The very feminine mare was highly praised and she also received a gold medal.

The breeding of jumping horses is not very big in Danish Warmblood, but so is the quality.

Four out of eight jumping mares at the age of 2, eight out of fourteen 3-years-old medal prospects, one 4-year-old medal prospect as well as 3 foals by sires from the Ask Stud were selected for the Elite Mares Show and fighting for the title "Mare of the Year".

Favorit Ask once again confirmed his breeding power at the Elite Mares Show at Vilhelmsborg, and also Ci Ci Senjor Ask and Cavall Ask have made their name to the spot light with offspring performing in the top.

The jumping mares of the Year and the mares with medals

 - All mares presented themselves pretty good today, which gave a very calm presentation, where we could jump a little bit higher with the mares, who really deserved their honours today, Johnny Hansen, jumping responsible tells us being satisfied with the way, the free jumping and the ranking of the mares was settled. For good reasons he is very satisfied with the positive development of the jumping breeding in Denmark through the last years. He also states, that the fast breeding progress in this area is based on the fact, that we do not only judge technique and capacity of the mares, but also their exterieur. Because of this fact, the mares will be able to acknowledge the demands concerning body and health in modern jumping sport, and at the same time, it is a pleasure to look at them. And it is! Nice, modern types, most of them with a feminine character and a good jumping canter in a good balance.

The Final

The judges had to choose between the noble, feminine Beezie Ask by Cavall Ask, who received the note 10 in technique and a 9,5 in capacity and the powerful Charetta Ask by Favorit Ask, which is out of a performance dam line, of which the dam Charett Ask was placed in international Grand Prix. They choose Charetta Ask, who jumped with a good overview and capacity and received a 9,5 in technique and a 10 for capacity.

The following offspring by sires from Stutteri Ask received medals (catalog order, not ranking):
