After another great performance today Søren and Velerne Ask earned the title Danish Champion 2016 !
It was a very exciting championship. After three clear rounds Velerne Ask just touched the last fence in the fourth round, which meant jump off about gold and silver against Thomas Velin and Chopin Van Het Moleneind. Velerne Ask jumped very convincing and fast in the jump off and so they became Danish Champion 2016!

Danish Championship

Last year Søren won the silver medal with Laramy Ask by Lambrusco Ask. This year he took one step up and earned the gold medal riding the mare Velerne Ask by Cosimo.
Velerne Ask was one of the best jumping horses in the first round of the day with power, overview and carefulness. The crowd practically rode the course together with Søren, and as he cantered through the finish line without faults, you could hear the crowd yelling.
Velerne developed a lot through the last year, and the result of the championship just confirmed this positive trend.
An unfortunate fault in the second round sent Søren into jump off against Thomas Velin. Thomas put pressure on with a fast and clear round but Søren handled the situation and secured the gold medal !
